Projectmedewerker XML-redactie – Huygens – Amsterdam
The research group Digital Editions is looking for a temporary employee with XML experience for a project concerning the creation of digital editions of correspondences of Dutch artists.
What will you do?
The research group Digital Editions of the Huygens Institute in Amsterdam creates digital editions of Dutch historical and cultural heritage. For example, the institute has created a digital edition of part of Piet Mondrian’s letters in collaboration with the RKD, and of Vincent van Gogh’s correspondence in collaboration with the Van Gogh Museum. In this project we realize multiple digital editions of artists’ letters in a sustainable, connected, enriched and generalizable way through an elaborated data model in XML TEI (Text Encoding Initiative).
You will work closely with researchers from Huygens Institute, RKD and Van Gogh Museum and with software engineers from Team Text (Digital Infrastructure Department of the HuC Amsterdam). Your task will be to support the researchers in the field of XML-TEI. The job ideally starts on April 1, 2025 and offers an appointment of 0.5-0.7 fte for 16 months.
Deadline for applications: 20 February 2025.
