Jelle van Lottum

Jelle van Lottum is Senior Lecturer at the University of Birmingham. He has published extensively on issues relating to labour migration, economic development, and the maritime sector. Having led research projects at the University of Cambridge and Oxford, his most recent project concerned the Birmingham-based ESRC funded project ‘Migration, human capital and labour productivity: the international maritime labour market in Europe, c. 1650-1815’. From August 2016 he will be attached to the Huygens ING as a Senior Researcher.
